biz.yahoo.com On December 15th, 1997 both Soundview Financial and BT Alex Braun analyst Byron Walker downgraded AMAT from Buy to Hold or Short-Term Hold ratings, AFTER it had already made it's standard 60% correction. Another classic case of taking an already choked industry, smacking it on the back, in hopes that all the small fishies will cough up their shares so they can begin to ACCUMULATE again. We'll see, but after seeing this type of stuff happen, I think the semiconductor industry will be stable and may begin appreciating within 30 days. If not, I may need to find the reporter who filed a story here after SMTC's last quarterly earnings report, to see if she had any luck getting a new job :o) I am certain of one thing on bottoms, we have all been exposed to too much of Tom Cat's lately. Meouch .... but I must admit it fits, and he does wear it well. Regards, JB
