There is value in organizing and all laborers know it. The unions sold them out but there will be something to fill that gap eventually.

Their days are numbered. 50 years from now they will likely be an artifact.
Like one_less said, there will always be benefits to collectivizing.

The problem is the existing power structure, which has been skewed to favor union leaders and the politicians that cater to them over the rank-n-file workers.

Workers need some sort of representation, whether it's called a union or something else.
