Officials: Shootings Involving Children Up 500 Percent From Last Year
....................................................................................................
May 29, 2015

BALTIMORE (WJZ)–

A mother and her young son gunned down in the city. Now, frustration grows as violent crimes– claim more lives and police say more and more children are getting caught in the crossfire.

In southwest Baltimore, a 7-year-old boy and his mother are the latest casualties in the deadliest month Baltimore has seen in 15 years.

This week, children are becoming collateral damage.

Baltimore’s homicides swell to 38 this month–totaling 111 so far this year.

The police union says criminals are taking advantage of the post-riot situation– adding that police are afraid of going to jail for doing their job.

“People are doing what they want to do because they feel the police are not going to come right away like they normally come,” said Rev. Keith Bailey.

Meanwhile, fear and frustration is growing.

“He can’t go out there and play like he’s supposed to, he can’t be safe in his neighborhood.”

Lawmakers say non-fatal shootings of children in Baltimore is up 500-percent from last year.

US-Trained Tajik Special Forces Chief Joins ISIS – Promises to Bring Jihad to America

Jim Hoft
Gateway Pundit
5/28/15

EXCERPT:

Tajikistan special forces commander Gulmurod Khalimov trained in the United States. He was an ally of the President of Tajikistan. Now he’s fighting for ISIS. And, he promised to bring jihad to America.

The Jerusalem Post reported, via Jihad Watch:

The US-trained commander of Tajikistan’s elite police force has defected to Islamic State, he said in a YouTube video, and his former unit will issue a statement condemning him, media said on Thursday.

Colonel Gulmurod Khalimov commanded the Central Asian nation’s special-purpose police known as OMON, used against criminals and militants. He disappeared in late April, prompting a search by Tajik police.

He reappeared Wednesday, vowing to bring jihad to Russia and the Unites States as he brandished a cartridge belt and sniper rifle, in a professionally made, 10-minute video clip posted in social networks.

“Listen, you dogs, the president and ministers, if only you knew how many boys, our brothers are here, waiting and yearning to return to Tajikistan to re-establish sharia law there,” he said, addressing Tajik President Imomali Rakhmon.

An Obama Crime Wave Spreads Across America

Investor's Business Daily
05/26/2015 06:56 PM ET

Excerpt:

Fueled by this president's anti-police policies and race-baiting rhetoric, thugs are attacking cops and terrorizing major cities. Horrible violence is breaking out all over. We are witnessing a national crime wave.

Law enforcement expects to see an escalation in criminal activity over the summer. Already we've seen a disturbing trend in May, including:

• The deadliest month Baltimore has seen in more than 15 years, with almost 30 shootings and nine deaths just over the holiday weekend. That makes well over 100 murders this year, compared with 71 at this time last year, the fastest the city has reached 100 homicides since 2007.

• Any time Baltimore officers respond to calls on the city's west side, scene of the Freddie Gray riots, as many as 50 people threaten them, Police Chief Anthony Batts says. "We have to send out multiple units just to do basic police work," he said. "It makes it very difficult to follow up on violence that takes place there."

• In Melbourne, Fla., likewise, police have reported mobs surrounding and striking cops trying to handcuff suspects in two separate cases in the past two weeks.

• A similar spike in violence was reported in Chicago, where 12 people were killed and at least 44 — including a 4-year-old girl — wounded in mostly gang-related shootings over the Memorial Day weekend.

*snip*

Victims can blame the crime surge on politicians who give criminals "space" to break the law. Who order cops to stop "stop and frisks." Who tie their hands while giving thugs license to loot and kill.

Called "racists," officers' morale is in the sewer. Cops fear for their safety and worry about being unfairly accused of using excessive force against black criminals.

New York's liberal mayor is even calling for "amnesty" for criminals with outstanding warrants, on recommendation from President Obama's police reform task force, which also urges police to "de-escalate and retreat" when trying to arrest violent offenders.

Obama, meanwhile, has unilaterally disarmed local police by banning military-style antiriot gear.

This is a recipe for the national crime wave we predicted in January 2009. Then, we editorialized that "Obama may have to deal with a crime wave the likes of which we haven't seen in decades," thanks to his soft-on-crime urban policies.

Regrettably, crime was an issue left undebated during the last two presidential races. It should move front and center this campaign.

Castro's Long Record On Terror, Lawlessness And Killing

..................................................................................................................................

Investors.com ^ | May 29, 2015 | IBD Editorial

President Obama removed Cuba as a state sponsor of terror Friday, forgetting the dictatorship's long record of killing, smuggling and, yes, terror. If this is the new standard, why not just scrap the list entirely?

The lifting of Cuba from the list of nations that support terrorism was a farce that may well come back to the haunt the United States.

After all, the ruling Castro regime that benefits from it in the name of normal relations with the U.S. and new access to World Bank loans is the same regime that once tried the first 9/11, aligning itself with a terrorist group in 1962 to bomb New York subways under department stores on the day after Thanksgiving to ensure maximum casualties. J. Edgar Hoover's FBI foiled it.

That was then. More than fifty years on, the same dictator and his brother have pretty much been told that that was then, and what matters is now.

Taking Cuba off the terror list "reflects our assessment that Cuba meets the statutory criteria for rescission," a State Department spokesman said. "While the United States has significant concerns and disagreements with a wide range of Cuba's policies and actions, these fall outside the criteria relevant to the rescission of a State Sponsor of Terrorism designation."

But even that narrow definition — which by the way only covers refraining from terror for a period of six months — doesn't stand well in the face of facts.

There's zero doubt Cuba has sponsored terror in the past, aligning with urban guerrillas in the hemisphere and leading guerrilla wars in Africa, which it denies was ever terrorism but in any case isn't doing now.

But it's only a change in tactics, not intentions. It remains the same communist "revolutionary" state that rules by terror at home and foments violence abroad. Its methods have simply gotten more subtle and updated.

Just last Feb. 28, Colombian officials nabbed a Cuba-bound Chinese ship, the Dan Da Xia, loaded with illegally concealed weapons perfect for terrorist warfare, including 100 tons of explosives, 2.6 million detonators, 99 projectiles and 3,000 artillery shells.

Colombia's military, which is often at odds with its president, initially stated they believed they were weapons bound for the FARC terrorist group, with which Cuba has had longtime ties. Cuba has been mediating peace talks between FARC and Colombia in Havana.

Colombia's president wants a peace deal for his own legacy purposes, so his government isn't saying much. But it's clear evidence of something wrong and answers are warranted before Cuba is taken off the terrorist list.

Colombia's opposition legislators note that similar shipments have been caught from the Chinese supplier in the past. It's also significant that the Colombia-FARC peace talks have broken down in the past week and FARC's terrorist attacks on Colombia's civilians have resumed. So who is supplying them? If Cuba isn't, then the only possible other supplier is Venezuela — which just happens to be Cuba's satellite.

Terror is a certain kind of state violence, and it's also significant that the Castro regime is known for its killings. Latin American scholar and former CIA analyst Brian Latell published credible research last year pointing to Castro's involvement in the 1963 assassination of John F. Kennedy. And there's also recent evidence that the Castro regime still engages in killing opponents.

The mysterious death of Ladies In White dissident Laura Pollan in a Havana hospital a week after she was attacked by a Castroite mob with some sort of poison handkerchief is highly suspicious. Even more suspicious is the mysterious car crash that took the life of Cuban dissident Oswaldo Paya.

A former Cuban bodyguard of Fidel Castro who published an expose this month identifying Castro as a drug dealer suddenly died from a "pulmonary ailment." Is it wrong to think an investigation is warranted before Cuba is cleared of being a terror state?

The problem here is President Obama has lifted the terror designation for reasons of politics, not security.

Too many questions remain unanswered about this odious regime's long history of hostility against the U.S.

If this is what U.S. policy has come to in the wake of restoring relations with one of the world's most terror-prone regimes, the only question remaining is why there is any terror list at all.

Judge orders Clinton Foundation racketeering case to trial
.;.;.;.;.;.;.;.;.;.;.;.;...............................................................................
By Sarah Westwood | May 29, 2015
washingtonexaminer.com

Save the date. Hillary Clinton's racketeering trial has been set for January 20, 2016.

A Florida judge has set a trial date in the racketeering case against the Clinton Foundation and Bill and Hillary Clinton.

Judge Donald Middlebrooks of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida ordered the racketeering, influenced and corrupt organizations, or RICO, case to head to trial January 20, 2016.

The order, entered Friday and obtained by the Washington Examiner, came days after Larry Klayman of Freedom of Watch filed a lengthy civil complaint against the Clintons and their foundation in the same court.

While the Clinton legal team could settle the case or enter a variety of motions in an effort to derail the lawsuit before the trial, the judge's swift decision means the matter could go to court before the Feb. 1 Iowa caucus and Feb. 9 New Hampshire primary.

Klayman, who has filed dozens of lawsuits against the Clintons and other prominent politicians, suggested the former first couple and their family philanthropy used their political clout to drum up foreign donations to the Clinton Foundation and lavish diplomatic favors for contributors while Hillary Clinton was secretary of state.

Klayman also asked the judge to order a "neutral forensic expert ... to take custody and control of the private email server and reconstruct and preserve the official U.S. Government records relating to the conduct of U.S. foreign policy during Defendant Secretary Clinton's term as Secretary of State."

Judge Middlebrooks has not yet ruled on Klayman's request that the court seize Hillary Clinton's server.

The court documents also state the Clinton Foundation and the former first couple must discuss the Cameras in the Courtroom pilot project, an initiative in the Southern District of Florida aimed at incorporating video recordings into civil cases.

"I am pleased that the Court has set this case for early jury trial," Klayman told the Examiner. "This is a matter of extreme national importance and before now, for decades, the Clintons have not had to answer to a jury for their alleged crimes. Now, justice will be done."

The Clinton Foundation declined a request for comment Friday.
