regine, I have read many of the posts that were made here over the past year. If I had to estimate I have probably read about 15,000 or so and skimmed the subject lines of the rest(the beauty of the Internet through a cable modem and a T1 connection). I have read many of the posts that were made by the 'hypesters' and the 'bashers' and the bottom line is I did not invest because of either sides opinions. All opinions are just that. I may be a bit of egoist(and no, that is not suppose to be egotist) but I do not believe that anyone is smarter than I am(Martin's corrections, not withstanding:-), therefore I do not place much credence in other's opinion. I understand that since I have started posting here in Oct., there have been about 10 people who have posted to this thread for the 'sole' purpose of dispelling the hype that they perceive exists here. I have seen no less than 50 others who have come here prior to Oct. claiming the same motive, except if you follow them around, you will find that all, as in every single, have had an ulterior motive. Whether that was a personal grudge(Do you really think that .81 cents was pulled out of the air?), a short position, a competitor or a company that was formerly in alliance, there exists a true purpose behind their words. SI has an extensive archive and every tale is there to be told.

With that being said, I can think of no greater form of condsencion then these self-appointed saviors of the poor, hapless investors whom lurk here!

If you truly felt that the 'hypesters' are doing damage to the company that is being run by 'charlatans', then you should feel content, that they will all get what they deserve. Obviously, you do not feel that one of those two items is true, or you would be sitting back and laughing at all these poor fools who have bought in. I see a contradiction in your words and your deeds.

Evan

It boils down to people that are ignorant. People buy stocks and never call the company, never ask for an investment package and never do their own research. Then they see the price of a stock drop and have no confidence in their own investment. They don't have enough knowlege to blame themselves for their investments so they would rather blame others instead of themselves. This makes them feel better. They didn't mess up someone else gave them bad advice. If they would have done their own due diligence then they would have enough confidence to ride out the storm and know the value of this great company and it's leaders. These same people when the stock goes up will say "Why didn't you tell me to buy." We are not holding a stock that is predictable over the short term. It will go up and it will go down just like it has in the past. 1 year ago this stock was at $1.25.
Anyone that has held this stock for over 1 year is quite happy with their investment. Anyone that says otherwise, tell me a stock that will definately do as good as FTEL over this next year. How about telling me a stock that will definately double in the next 12 months. $12 is a possibility in Jan or Feb let alone in 12 months. 22 months ago I bought this stock at $.8125 and it has gone as high as $10.50. Even at this low level I have made a decent profit. Everyone have a terrific holiday and I know you will be pleased with the price of this stock by the end of Feb and by Dec 1998.
