Just a word of advice on options. A buy and hold mentality (like in stocks) usually does not pay very well if you hold options (due to volatility and fixed maturity). I usually establish a % gain target and sell even at the risk of missing upside because % gains from options can evaporate in a giffy. You can usually enter into the next higher strike option at a low cost if you are concerned about future appreciation. Also the cost basis is irrelevant so it is always advisable to ignore that in any sell decision.

Just my 2 cents. Good luck.

Regards

Alok
