Quantum Expands Disk Business in China December 19, 1997 (SHANGHAI, China) -- Quantum Corp. of the United States, one of the world's largest hard disk driver makers, is expanding its business in the Chinese market. David Rawcliffe, Quantum's marketing director in the Asian- Pacific region, said that more than 50 Chinese computer manufacturers now use the company's hard disk drives, and sales of their products in China have been increasing by 40 percent annually in recent years. Statistics show that the share of Quantum's products in China's personal computer market has already increased to more than 10 percent. (Xinhua News Agency)
