Trey--

I'm sure there is one main reason Seamans stated what he did. Numero uno is to keep the stock price alive and keep analysts guessing. He needed some bs or they were sunk. He knew nothing would happen for awhile and some story had to be put out. If that 1,000 line sorry complex in GTE territory counts as a "significant" contract, he has much to answer for--unless he felt GTE CLEC would announce greater deployments. Never, ever, trust a freakin telco to deliver a new service on time. Is anyone from WSTL still saying there are 3 significant signed contracts? Or are they counting any of the recently announced PR trash as significant?
