Wait a minute! I thought Keynesianism worked? The Fed and Congress assured us that printing money, keeping interest rates as zero, and spending trillions in deficits since 2009, would stimulate the economy into a robust, sustainable recovery, and trigger a self-fulfilling wealth effect. In addition, the Democrats assure us that Socialism works better than Free Markets and that we should move more of the private economy, like health care, into the public, government centrally planned model. Venezuela has been doing exactly these things...and yet, it does not seem to be working. It must be like Krugman says that if Keynesianism and Socialism is not working, it's because we aren't doing it on a grand enough scale! Viva la revolucion! and Viva Alice in Wonderland! The Mad Hatter is in charge across the whole world, as well as right here in the US of A.
