Because they have a mental disorder that needs treatment - not affirmation of their delusions or being made into fake hero's or ridiculed. They need treatment.

First of all, how do you know what they need...........are you a shrink?

Secondly, the needed treatment may well be changing their sex.

Thirdly, why does this matter to you.............they are not hurting anyone.

This libtard "global thinker" once again re-enforces the age old axiom......"Everything libtards
touch turns to CRAP"

Superintendent Silva is a global thinker and understands the connections of one urban school district to the larger world. Her education has included travels between Minnesota and Greece, Turkey, Panama, Cuba, Thailand and Chile. Closer to home, her volunteer commitments include membership on several national, state and local boards.

Superintendent Silva’s passion for “students first” drives her relationships and leadership. She is the right leader at the right time.

Minnesota Teachers Revolt Against 5 Years of ‘White Privilege’ Training

EAG News reports that the public school district of St. Paul has spent $3 million over the past 5 years to work with “Pacific Educational Group, a San Francisco-based organization that tries to help public schools deal with achievement and disciplinary issues involving black students.” PEG’s educational philosophy: That standard curricula are inherently biased against black students due to “white privilege”.

Curriculum changes, however, were not at the top of their list. Instead, St. Paul schools were required to revise discipline policies in order to cease suspending black students, instead punishing them via “time outs” from the classroom, along with school officials “forgiving or ignoring” violent behavior.

“The result has been general chaos throughout the district, with far too many students out of control because they know there are no real consequences for their actions.” As a result of the disciplinary changes, students run wild in the hallways, teachers have “secret knocks” for students who want admission into classrooms, and the number of students attending non-district schools has ballooned. It is, in short, a nightmare. Most students don’t even feel safe going to the bathroom.

The teachers’ union has partnered with local organizations to push certain school board members out in the upcoming election. However, the heat really needs to be turned up on Pacific Educational Group, the source of the policies that resulted in such turmoil. PEG’s client list contains the names of over 100 public school districts across the country, including 22 in Minnesota alone. They’ve also partnered with over a dozen independent and charter schools as well as nearly 50 institutions of higher education including the University of Pennsylvania, Stanford, and the Harvard University Graduate School of Education. A number of state departments of education are also included on their client list.

According to a 2006 article in the Rocky Mountain News, PEG’s president and founder Glenn Singleton, who charges a six-figure consulting fee, holds radical views on race, claiming that ”‘white talk’ is ‘verbal,’ ‘intellectual’ and ‘task-oriented,’ while ‘color commentary’ is ‘emotional’ and ‘personal.’”

Office of the Superintendent

Superintendent Valeria Silva took the helm at Saint Paul Public Schools in 2009, following 25 years as an educator and administrator both in SPPS (Chief Academic Officer; Director of English Language Learner Programs; Principal at Adams Spanish Immersion School: Assistant Principal at Dayton's Bluff Elementary; and Coordinator of Spanish Immersion Program/Curriculum) and with the Minnesota Department of Education. She recently graduated from the prestigious Broad Superintendents Academy.

Superintendent Silva believes fervently in closing the achievement gap. In January 2011 she directed her administrators to implement the most revolutionary changes in achievement, alignment and sustainability seen within SPPS in the last 40 years. The Strong Schools, Strong Communities strategic plan is moving forward to eliminate the achievement gap and ensure that all students achieve at higher levels. Further, it mandates that all in the district hold themselves accountable in a very public forum.

Forging key strategic relationships is a high priority for the Superintendent, who has strengthened ties with non-profit community partners, corporate and business partners, major funders, and government—particularly St. Paul Mayor Chris Coleman. Ms. Silva works closely with the Mayor on his Education Leadership Team and helped design and implement the Sprockets initiative for out-of-school-time.

St. Paul is one of only 20 cities in the United States to receive a planning grant for the national Promise Neighborhood initiative, and Superintendent Silva has been instrumental in helping 72 organizations make tangible commitments to serve students and families in the Promise Neighborhood.

Republicans Introduce DOJ Spending Amendment to Block Future Bullet Bans

Amendment specifically protects popular 'green tip' targeted by the ATF last year

House Republicans have introduced an amendment to the bill that funds the Department of Justice which would prevent the executive agency from using any funds to ban “green tip” .223 ammunition. (so called "armor piercing," as all centerfire is).

On Tuesday, Rep. Richard Hudson (R., N.C.) introduced the amendment to HR 2578.

“This amendment is a strong first step to reduce the ATF’s threat to our Second Amendment and protect our right to keep and bear arms,” Hudson said in a speech on the House floor. “I will continue to fight against this bullet ban and any overreaching regulations that would prevent us from responsibly exercising our Second Amendment rights.”

Hudson cited last year’s attempt by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) to ban the ammunition as the reason for the amendment.

“As you recall, the ATF recently tried to ban common rifle ammunition that has been legally used by law-abiding Americans for decades,” he said. “It was only after receiving intense pressure from Congress and more than 80,000 public comments and, frankly, the direct intervention of Chairman [John] Culberson that the administration stalled their proposed ban.”

“But as the clock ticks down on this president’s second term, the administration is cooking up more than a dozen gun control regulations and have left the door open to reconsider future ammo bans.”
