And the solution isn't for everyone else to arm themselves, but to make people more responsible with their firearms. Well free speech works the same way when offensive or even hateful - but the solution is not to control peoples speech or make them more responsible. That said - I already said I'm not a big fan of open carry for a number of reasons. Mostly I think it's a tactical disadvantage, then of course you have others sensitivities. Still others think racking a shotgun slide scares burglars away as opposed to my sense it gives away your position. It's a free country - I like the diversity myself - even if a bit disturbing at times.
