If the children of your house and yard staff were born here, they are legally citizens. No, citizens can't be deported .. though their parents might choose to take them with them.

Maybe you should be required to show proof of insurance before buying alcohol. So if you drive drunk, fall down on the public street, attack someone, set a fire, piss or vomit on the public streets .... or any of the other things drunks do, your insurance could cover the cost.

New Jersey Woman Stabbed to Death by Ex While Waiting for Gun Permit

Carol Bowne / Courier-Post

BY: Stephen Gutowski [
June 5, 2015 10:04 am

A New Jersey woman was murdered by her ex-boyfriend on Wednesday as she waited for approval from the state to buy a handgun.

In addition to obtaining a restraining order against her ex, Michael Eitel, and installing security cameras in her home, Carol Bowne had applied for a permit to purchase a handgun on April 21.

Police told the (New Jersey) Courier-Post that she had inquired about the application as recently as Monday. “We did not get the fingerprint information yet,” Berlin Township Police Chief Leonard Check told the paper.

Unlike most states, New Jersey’s restrictive gun laws require a permit to purchase a handgun. The permit process can take several months to complete.

Bowne’s murder has left her friends and neighbors in shock. “She did absolutely everything she was supposed to,” her coworker Denise Lovallo told the paper. “Do they have enough now to get him?”

“She cared about everybody who walked through that door, and every client was her friend,” Linda O’Hara, who owned the salon Bowne worked at the past 20 years, told the Courier-Post. “She was invited to every wedding, every baby shower, everything.”

Eitel remains at large.

GUN FREE ZONE: Couple stabbed repeatedly at Chicago Western Brown Line station

June 5, 2015

Yes, thank heavens for those “NO GUNS” signs.

Illinois law requires them to be posted in locations where our Chicago Democrat-controlled legislature thought it was deemed too “sensitive” for good people to carry guns. Or perhaps these anti-gun Chicago Democrat Machine politicians thought it was so safe in those locations that good guys didn’t “need” their guns.

Once more, anti-gunners’ faulty logic is on display. This time, it was at the Western Brown Line station where a couple was stabbed repeatedly in recent days.

You can understand why we didn’t hear about it. After all, nobody was shot and nobody was killed. It was just another violent incident in Chicago that happens every few seconds to someone or another.

LINCOLN SQUARE ( DNA Info) — A 20-year-old man and 18-year-old woman were stabbed near the Western Brown Line station in Ravenswood around 4:30 p.m. Thursday, according to police and witnesses on the scene.

Danielle, who did not want to give her last name, was working at the first Thursday night Lincoln Square Farmers Market of the season when she said she heard people running down the “L” stairs yelling, “Help us!”

Danielle, who is trained in first aid, said she saw the blood, grabbed paper towels then ran toward the injured couple and “started plugging holes.”

She said the man appeared to be stabbed five times, in his chest, hand and abdomen. The woman was stabbed in her left elbow and was in better shape, walking and talking.

Three happy ending stories:

HAPPY ENDINGS: Armed Americans safe, while thugs turning their lives around have criminal careers truncated

June 5, 2015

It’s Friday and it’s time for some upbeat reading before the weekend officially kicks off!

Houston

Armed robbers, often as not, are really cowards without imparting fear upon their victims with threats of violence. Nothing but utter and complete cowards.

Another illustration of this point happened Tuesday evening in Houston at the “Happy Daze” tobacco shop. A trio of bad guys stormed in with masks on and guns out, intent on robbing the place, according to KHOU.

Unfortunately for them, the clerk saw them approach. Their masks and guns were what the FBI folks would call a clue that the men were up to no good.

Even worse for three robbing stooges (or four suspects as reported by another outlet), Mr. Clerk had a gun too. And he knew how to use it.

They got no more than six feet in and the clerk fired three shots, striking the leader in the chest and abdomen.

The hoodlums immediately abandoned their dynamic entry – sensing it to be a little too dynamic for their tastes inside the business – and retreated to the getaway car outside. The leader, having suffered some ballistic therapy, was a little slow getting to their ride. His brave compatriots didn’t bother to stop and help him into the car.

They didn’t even wait for him. Instead, they sped away, leaving their leaky leader to finish leaking out on the pavement, thinking about his poor career choice before fading to black.

He should have picked another career path and better friends.

Sullivan County, TNThe media got the law wrong in a story of a 70-year-old man defending his home against a free-loading layabout who, like the hoodlums above, picked the wrong line of work.

Ronald Dykes had just finished repairs from an April home intrusion when a perpetrator forced his way through another window at 2a.m. Sunday.

The seasoned citizen grabbed his gun after hearing the commotion and popped a cap or two into the intruder.

Mr. Intruder decided it would be a good time to exfiltrate expeditiously.

In an amazing coincidence, a man showed up at a nearby hospital complaining of a gunshot wound. Charges are pending against the man who checked himself into the hospital.

The media report from WCBY badly misstated Tennessee’s “Stand Your Ground” law in the story:

Detectives continue to investigate a home invasion that ended in a shooting early Sunday morning in Sullivan County. The homeowner, Ronald Dykes, said he shot the suspect because he believed his life was in danger. That statement is important in this case. Because Dykes felt his life was in danger, the law allows him to protect himself.

…In Dyke’s case, he’s protected by Tennessee law.

Mr. Dyke’s statement, standing by itself, does not protect him from prosecution. It’s the fact the the circumstances of the incident would lead a reasonable and prudent person to believe that Mr. Dykes reasonably believed he faced the danger of death or great bodily injury.

Aurora, COProving the old adage about ammunition for concealed carry: It’s a lot like taking bubble gum to school. You better have enough to go around or you’re going to be in big trouble.

Such was the case in Aurora, CO, according to WKVR. Three misguided youths thought they were going to welcome a trio of guys moving household goods into someone’s new apartment residence by pulling a gun on them and taking their money.

One of the three would-be victims pulled his heater instead of his wallet and opened up, scoring hits on each of the three young men who were just turning their lives around and destined to cure cancer someday.

None of the victims were injured, however the future Nobel Prize winners for medicine weren’t so lucky. Dewayne Lamonte Quenvell Brown, aged 15, eventually expired from his perforations. The other two were hospitalized but their identities were not released.

Here’s a photo of young Dewayne Lamonte Quenvell Brown, would-be Nobel Laureate:

Oh yeah.

And would it surprise you to know he posted the photo below as his profile picture five days before he was shot dead?

Thank heavens that concealed carry licensee put an end to this two-bit thug’s career before he could hurt someone.

DETROIT: Female CCW repels carjacking trio; wait until you read what she told a reporter

June 4, 2015

We wrote a couple of days ago that the solution to the sharp upswing of black-on-black crime in larger cities was to employ meaningful crime reduction strategies, including arming the law-abiding residents in the most at-risk neighborhoods.

A Detroit woman was already ahead of that game, armed with her concealed carry license and a .357 Sig, when three would-be car-jackers tried to ‘jack her.

They thought they were going to flash their bang-stick and their victim would pee on herself while falling out of the car.

They thought WRONG.

Instead, the woman, nicknamed “CC”, brought up her .357 Sig and fired at the Three Stooges, causing them to soil themselves. One of them fired a shot or two at the CCWer, probably an involuntary flinch at the sound of woman’s first shot booming forth.

A .357 Sig, for those who haven’t had the pleasure of shooting one or standing next to one getting fired, is a monster. It’s very much akin to a .357 Magnum going off.

Thirteen rounds later, the hoodlums were nowhere to be found.

The best part was what the “CC” told the reporter:

“All the residents of the city need to come together and take back this city from the thugs and the criminals that have taken over this city, and if you live in fear you’ll never bring this city back.”

That’s some advice residents of high crime neighborhoods across America should take to heart.

The last line, “If you live in fear you’ll never bring this city back” is the truism of the day!
