It's true. Bob Dole is a big Washington lobbyist, now - a "hired gun"
if you will. The "et. al." in sowbug's post is, as you might expect,

It's not so much politics as name cachet. I think Dole was a hotshot lawyer back in the 1920s or so, and that's what he's doing now that he's out of elected official life.

If Dole took the traditional Republican stance on this issue, it would probably be laissez-faire -- i.e., do whatever the hell you want, MSFT.
