Does this apply to AMAT yet? I posted it on the BSX thread.

Immi: thanks. It's a very good sign that yesterday's downgrade has produced essentially no reaction in the market. It confirms my opinion that everyone who wants to sell has done so, and there is very little downside risk. The first piece of bad news produces a sharp selloff on high volume. Each additional bit of negative news produces another sell-off, but the selloffs gradually decrease in volume. When you do this to rats with an electric shock, and eventually they don't respond, it's called habituation. I guess the same process works with investors and downgrades. When the market is fully habituated, it's time to buy.

Why... welcome new neighbor!!! It may be sooner than 2000 though, so would you like me to find you a boat? Or, a sea plane?
