Petz , what are your thoughts on the benefit of 100mhz for PII ?
My thinking is the only real benefit will be that higher performance Drams (10nsec SDram)will be able to use their full potential . It will not affect L2 cache performance as that is , at present, 1/2 the clock speed and later full clock speed . So as has been pointed out before AMD and Cyrix performances will benefit the most . Therefore Intel's
move to 100mhz may be more based on market phsychology than anything else , Brian
