<< craig, how can you get your short filled so fast? it is very hard to short for me with etrade. >>

It wasn't fast. I started trying to short it at 53 1/4. I ended up getting it at 53 5/8 on the way up to 54 when it started rallying hard. It then came down to 53 1/2 at the close after I had already shorted it.

I just get my order ready to go and watch my real-time screen. I try to anticipate when there is going to be an uptick because I know it will take a second or two for my sloooowwww USRX modem (just kidding guys) to send the request.

When CSCO was just hovering there around 53 1/4 with about 20-25 minutes to go I was having trouble getting upticks. Thanks to the rally towards the close it marched straight to 54 giving me plenty of upticks.

Sure it's tough watching it climb knowing you could probably get a better fill. But if you get too greedy it will start to sell off and you won't get a chance before the bell.

I'm not worried. I wouldn't even be surprised to see it rally first thing Monday morning and go higher. I have plenty of cash on hand to short more and I think it only has a few more points upside left in it. Downside? Briefly touched the 40's today. Could easily do it again.
