It's just so ironic that our majority black cities and the ME are both blowing up with a US President for whom the two things notable about him are his race and his Muslim name.

"Muslim background" (which he doesn't, not really) Yes he does. He spent much of his pre-teen years being educated in Islamic schools. I went to Catholic schools at the same age and believe me the tenets you learn are deeply ingrained and last a lifetime. I don't believe he is of a religious nature any longer but he certainly tends more towards Islam than Christianity.

Muslim father, Muslim step-father, registered as Muslim in Indonesian school, "the call to prayer is the most beautiful sound in the world", etc., etc... This denial of his background is just appalling.
