To my dear friend Mark: After allowing myself to calm down, I have decided that you, too, are entitled to one of those "do-overs" you so easily hand out on this thread (but only if the regular contributors go along with it). Not only did I drive 180 miles round trip, pay all the tolls, arrange to stay overnight in Brooklyn, brave the subways at ungoldly hours, and thoroughly embarrass myself asking every guy with his nose stuck way too far up way too much silicone if he, perchance, might be THE Mark Silvers from Chicago. As you have already reported, each and every one of your clones (per your description) was an imposter and, after spending $20.00 to get in the door and $3.00 to have my coat checked, and after suffering through the humility of having you paged, I left that lame excuse for a "cabaret" and, to put it mildly, I was steaming. Do you know what I had to go through to get my wife's permission to go into Manhattan, meet Citydi for dinner, go to a strip club, and then stay overnight, supposedly alone, in a Brooklyn Brownstone? Meeting citydi, to say the least, was the highlight of my night. Thanks again, buddy. Anybody think he deserves a "do-over"?
