<<why wait until Tuesday when Monday is a trading day too <g>>>

Pete, my reasoning was that on Monday they will try to excite more suckers - scared-shorts as well as new-born bulls with a follow-though rally. Of course, only to realize towards the close that the rally is a labored and yet a failed effort. Besides, most companies warn after the close (not sure if they want to spoil Christmas.)

All in all, if tomorrow is not a big down-day, the Santa rally may be real. A couple of techincal things scared me over the weekend

Index put call ratio: 0.71
NYSE short-interest up 3.x%.

These are very bullish, short-term! But we have other factors in place to possibly override this. i.e. Japan. Earnings jitters. etc.
