Yes. A fine investor, Robert Kirby, related that one of his client's relatives was buying for himself, what Kirby was buying for the relative in the account, based on the regular statements. Only this fellow took the stock certificates and just put them in a coffe can, then forot about them. Didn't constantly monitor them and worry about them. They were good solid well managed companies. Kirby, by the way, ACTIVELY managed his stocks and found that the buy and holder had done much better by simply leaving them be. Some of the stocks did about average, a few did poorly, but a few did spectacularly well. I am betting that the semi cap coffee can portfolio will win the day in the end.
