If you are a consumer electronics manufacturer, distributor, VAR, or
Internet Service Provider, you can't afford to ignore the prospects of
Internet Telephony. Consider the following market factors:
More than 20 million Internet appliances will be shipped by the year
2001. The Internet Telephony market is estimated at more than $6.6 billion in the US alone. Phone penetration in US households is 96% compared to only 40% for the PC. The Internet will have 500 million users by the year 2000. Internet Telephony will cost the TELCOs and long-distance companies $8 billion by the early 2000's.
Internet Telephony will grow from $74 million today to $63 billion in 2005. International calls represent 50% of all voice communications. Today's telecommunications market is estimated
at $570 billion!
