Or, you could do what E-Trade felt they were compelled to do when they had problems that prevented them from filling customer orders...

... make good

Uh, er, ummmmm... oh, sorry, just woke up from a dream!

Could you please tell us if the option trading is finally coming to Datek on line in the near future? The approximate date and pricing would be nice to know as well. Thanks.

Thank you, John Normile, for posting an explanation and an apology for what was happening on Friday. This is a big step from ignoring posts or denying any problems, which many have accused DATEK of in the past. Of course, we would all like DATEK to give uninterrupted, flawless service, but at least we KNOW what's going on when it comes from the horse's mouth. This way, one can make an informed decision whether to continue trading with DATEK and whether these downtimes/outtages are acceptable or not. In the absence of any explanation or worse, the denial of problems that are documented over and over on this thread, one has to assume the worst--that there is an intentional effort to ignore or mislead. I for one, am thankful to hear a prompt explanation from DATEK about any problem or downtime, no matter how brief or small. It assures me that DATEK is aware of problems and is taking steps to remedy them.
