Clearly SEBL has a pretty good-looking product or it wouldn't have grown revenues the way it has. However, we are talking ROI now. If it helps make Company A's sales reps, on average, 1.1x more productive, then it might be worth a pretty decent price. However, if it is only useful in that it makes a few necessities more convenient but most of the functionality goes unused, then you have to wonder how SEBL is going to maintain its high seat price and implementation cost in light of new entrants dramatically underpricing Siebel and existing vendors like Baan and SAP tossing in a little SFA functionality for free. Given current business momentum, I kind of like Siebel but I like Siebel at a good discount to more proven ROI generators.
