I think I'd like to go back to the days when the Parties picked their OWN candidates...at conventions.

At least back then the candidates didn't have to Suck Up to 50 different constituencies until their platforms looked like a hodge podge of extreme views on either end of the spectrum.

If Huey Long had lived and we had had primaries in 1936....HE could have become the president instead of Roosevelt.
