Heehee. dear penni, can we rely on you for the full play-by-play down the stretch? Maybe there's a new syndicated TV show idea buried in this somewhere. You know, sort of an obstetrical version of People's Court?

I'm still around for half the week - 'til Wednesday noonish.
Gravidity Update
So over the weekend the Great Nesting began. My mother-in-law (bless her heart) sent us a check for a brand-new vacuum cleaner. This puppy really sucks lint! Discovering this caused the Feminine Collective to "tip over" into a trance of dusting and cleaning and vacuuming. I offered my pittance by continuing my deconstruction of the back bedroom (formerly my Trophy Room, now the nascent baby room) and my frantic efforts to install a workbench and shelves on the remaining free wall of the garage.
Spouse thinks that the young-un is engaged already. Her head seems to be right down there among the soft tissues. Every time Spouse sneezes (or I get her to laugh hard) her uterus gets as hard as a medicine ball.
The baby is so well-formed and strong that Big She can distinguish Little She's hands from her feet or butt when something is sliding or pattering past stomach or bladder.
Today we are one month from due date. Spouse suspects junior will be a little early. Even though I'm forfeiting a tax break, I'm hoping that the birth is not mired into the holiday season. While I'm confident that the baby is already at full stamina, I'd appreciate the extra time to get the house ready. And to get clear of the holiday staffing structure at the hospital.
Friend and colleagues are giving me that big cheesy grin and calling me "Daddy".
