Whatever is going on is natural. The Pacific rules the roost, so whatever global pH data you can come up with, it'll be associated with the Pacific Decadal Oscillation.

For example, I bring up the cooling North Atlantic. As this pattern changes, the Gulf Stream will shift southward. There'll be variations to the seasonal variation of pH in the north Atlantic as well as the annual and decadal trends. I'm sure someone will cherry pick this area as becoming "more acidic", which will actually help validate the point I was making.

Kenneth, guru asked you some great questions and you dismissed them. He provided us with great information. Hopefully this will continue between you two...weather is important to both of you yet it is clear that you are throwing out one liners instead of discussing the various points...that indicates a lack of knowledge or recognition that guru knows so much more than you. I think everyone on this thread sees the value of you two really discussing the points in detail. We ALL will learn something...you both post on this subject repeatedly and I ask the thread to refrain and let these two experts discuss their strong points and the science behind their points. I will be reading and thanks in advance.
