I listened to the recording of the conference call PDS had yesterday. The CEO stated that demand
for their rigs is very
strong and they can raise day rates at least another 20% which would just equal what is charged
by US land drillers. They are
looking to make more aquisitions ONLY if it adds to the bottom line. Their rigs are booked
through 1998 and part way through 1999 so
any drop in gas or oil prices wouldnt appreciably effect their bottom line The CFO is "very
comfortable" with earnings estimates
for 1998 in the $2.50/share range. Overall very positive.

Isn't that great "earnings visibility"
