If you think prayer is stupid, you must think the people slain at that prayer service were stupid too. Doesn't every American know Wed. night is when most churches have prayer meetings? There are Saturday night people and Sunday morning people and a subset of the Sunday morning people are also Wed night people, who are the beating heart of any church.

In point of fact, I think most liberals DO think people who go to prayer services are stupid. If this had been a white church you'd see liberals openly scorning the victims, they're only refraining in this case cause the slain were black. Liberals think Christianity is stupid, but don't attack blacks for being Christian because they think blacks are more primitive and childlike.

President Obama missed an opportunity for greatness in his response to the Emanuel church massacre:

He could have said, instead of talking about politics today, we’re not Democrats, Republicans, independents, blacks, whites. We’re Americans, and we all need to worship together. We need to — what would have been great sign is to call for people to fill those churches, because don’t let anybody be scared from going to church. We’re not going to deterred from lifting our prayers,’ Jindal said. ‘…Government is not going to eradicate evil. And that’s why it would be also a good time to call America to prayer. That president doesn’t seem to like to do that, but it’s an important, important part of our country’s tradition.’”

Bobby Jindal quoted by instapundit

Jindal is RIGHT! Washington, Lincoln and most of our early Presidents would have called for prayer in response to an attack on a church.
