Yousef, I think that the K6 earns money on a cash basis, so it will not be killed. They are sunk costs that add, but if they can get the yield high in the fast bins they can spread the sunk cost over more and get the ASP higher. It is a risky race as they must deal with a price set by others who can assess their progress and as they get better, drop the price more to exhaust the company in classic monopolist mode. I suspect that Intel might exhaust AMD this way to the point there they get a deep pocket buyer and waive the poison pill, as being alive in a small pond is better than being dead on the parched earth(which Intel wants). It is strange but Intel might stop the crushing process, as it might attract the DOJ. So Intel might relent somewhat, as it does cost Intel a lot more to crush AMD than AMD loses(they can afford it though).

How is Grove making out with his cancer?, under control?, remission?
I was greatly saddened to read about that.
