INDEX UPDATE -------------------------- For those who watch the CANDLESTICKS, there are hammers accross the board amongst most of the indexes. I prefer not to discuss only one indicated since my system consists of many, but buy itself this is a major reversal signal for the short-term. My overall system confirms it also. As long as the market now continues up, which the technicals strongly indicate this WILD TECHNICAL DELAYED DIP is completed. The key now is for the various indexes to surpass the hump of the TDD which in most cases were the closing prices of 12/16(Tuesday) as follows: --------RECENT PEAKS(12/16)------CLOSING PRICE(12-19) ----------------------------------------------------- COMP-----------1547----------------------1525 NDX-------------997-----------------------970 MSH-------------432-----------------------429 DOW------------7976----------------------7756 SPX-------------968-----------------------947 As for whether the overall market will continue to move up for the longer term into 1998, so far the technicals are giving mixed signals equally on both sides and I cannot make a conclusion at this time per the technicals. Well, it looks very good that we will be moving up next week and we should surpass the above mentioned previous peaks of 12/16 within 10 trading days if not sooner.
