Re: Potash Corporation of Saskatchewan Inc. (POT)
EXCO Resources Inc. (XCO)

I like their exposure to the AG industry sector. POT meets my Net income to long term debt criteria at only 2.68x. The company is also trading at/near a 5 year low. I had owned YARIY in the past but it is a bit more expensive w/o the land/mineral assets. POT sells at about 3x BV. It does not meet the GN value test and has always sold at a premium.

My portfolio position is small about 0.5%.

FWIW, Also looking at starting a small position in the XCO

I am looking to buy 5 $1K bonds (face value) at $658.00/bond. This probably the first of a few buys as I build my distressed debt E&P bond ladder. XCO is interesting as Wlbur Ross , well know Value Investor owns 11% of the common shares. His avg price is around $5.00/share.

No Buys yet on the XCO Senior Debt yet. YTM 22.67%, still in the risky category but the risk/reward appears to be getting better especially w/ Wilbur Ross owning so much of the common shares.
