Hi All i guess this is what you guys are talking about.

Hold Ashton Mining of Canada- one more good sample from K91 (D. James)
Quote:
Visiting with the company on Wednesday, we learned or observed something of the south-to-north apparent increase in diamond population in the 16 pipes ( an imperfect generalization), the diamond
fragment versus preserved crystalline micro distribution, diamond recovery advantages ( larger stone recovery) of Dense Media Seperation and the difficulties (time delays) encountered in working with high
concentrations of unaltered olivine. While the new detailed ( 250 m line spacing) airborne magnetic surveying is indicating potentially new target cluster areas ( AEC had originally flown 660 m spacings).
El Nino has not been a popular visitor to north central Alberta as unfrozen ground has restricted access for ground follow up work. While we do expect an active exploration/drilling program in 1998, specific
plans have yet to be laid out and until this is clarified, we might see Ashton in a holding program.
David James 204-988-9602
unquote:

They have a recommended buy on Mountain Province, a 168 kilogram sample yielded 439 stones, of
which 10 were larger than a 2mm x 2mm screen.

One thing that I have done is simply look at the probabilities. Compare the number of pipes from Diamet to the number of pipes from Ashton, throw in a fudge factor because I am not a geologist, and it still appears likely that there is an economic pipe in the future for Ashton. Beyond that I look at Ashton's management, their finances, and their parent, and their history, these look good. I expect Ashton will hit $15 within several months, and it may go well beyond that with luck. Perhaps a geologist could reduce my perception of the luck factor but for me I'll call it luck for now. I am worried about PUG though, Surely there is a reason for the deep discount to Ashton, I don't know why, is it all Sheldon? Will it persist?

Cheers
