Hi Don, glad to see SFAM with some positive movement. On the KLIC front I was speaking to a friend of mine today who manages a large
mutual fund for a major house and although he doesn't own KLIC in his fund he does own 10,000 shares personally (@$28.00 on my recco).

In speaking with his firm's semi equip analyst last week on another matter he asked for insight on KLIC's recent moves. The overall comments were neutral but on thing that the analyst did say was that he thought the company was actually hurting itself by flip flopping
from bullish to bearish to bullish in such a short time frame.

It seems to me that if the sales force was busy trying to replace the
orders recently lost or pushed out that the company should have waited
a bit longer before releasing the push out warning. BTW the push out warning occured within a few days of the company releasing information about the same customer having placed a substantial order.

Everybody knows the street hates to be wrong and will punish a stock
that makes them look bad. I don't know when the damage will stop but I would assume that the January numbers release will either vindicate or obliterate the stock. As for the short term I would like to see a short term rally to the mid $20's as the PM's set their sights on 1998 and buy the beaten down issues. If we see the mid 20's I'm inclined to sell Apr 25 Calls against my shares and buy some cheap
puts for a hedge.
