The guy who answered the phone was probably just walking by when it rang. If that was your first contact and impression of the company, you'd probably become the next Shorty. Weird things happen in small companies. My company probably has more people in IR than Coco has in total, and that's no exageration. One time when I was doing some late night programming for a bank, a call came in to my desk from a customer. It's like 9:00 at night and a lady who barely spoke English wants to argue about some savings account esoterica. Now I worked for the bank, I've got an irate customer on the phone who knows I work for the bank, and what my number is, and I couldn't answer her complaint to save my life. She doesn't understand PROGRAMMER and could care less, just wants the right answer. She probably closed her account the next day. Anyway, stuff happens. Any words of wisdom from Mike?
