Have you been to any place outside of Charleston in SC? You might want to check it out some time.
Of course I have. I used to live in the East Coast, and I've taken a few trips to SC.

Most of the people there are very nice and friendly. Sure, they might be stuck in the Confederacy, but that's the Deep South for you.

I felt safer driving through South Carolina than I ever did through southeast D.C., for instance. Or through some shadier parts of Brooklyn.
