is more than just "nature-plus-evolution" : spirituality which forgets God as all-powerful and Creator is not acceptable

The Pope needs to get out more, take more nature hikes & sleep under the moon (with the poor) like St Francis.....and stop sounding so confused. He might like to stop employing the reference of 'chaos & chance' which only shows an almost childlike sophomoric understanding of what he could grasp if he just took a stroll thru the Vatican gardens & payed real attention. Is he being intentionally dishonest with this?

There's no more powerful lesson we understand from the study of evolutionary biology than that of ongoing interdependence interspecies, from plants to insect & vice versa, plants to animal which have so evolved in such close step-in-step, to be observed almost everywhere we look.

The 'Pope' can go take a stroll thru one of those gardens & spend less time with this apologetic misleading nonsense, be it ever so well intentioned, he's showing complete ignorance of the world here.

Saint Basil the Great described the Creator as "goodness without measure," while Dante Alighieri spoke of "the love which moves the sun and the stars".

We'll have to look up this Basil fellow, but this lovely sentiment of the 'oceanic' experience is common to men from all times. Dante we know about, patterning so much of his writings from pagan ideas of the fates & destiny, like most of your religion borrows, its an evolutionary thing even in the realm of ideas.
