Liability. If you damage something or someone with it, accidentally or otherwise.
If I intentionally cause injury or damage with a car, does my insurance cover it? Of course not.

Most gun deaths are due to the wielder intentionally using them. The few that are accidental are often due to gross negligence.

This whole insurance nonsense is only going to benefit the lawyers, because there will be a whole flood of new cases over insurance liability.
