I know I want the 440LX.
I think the 440FX came out before the 440LX
And I hear the next mother board is 440BX
But am no expert !

Larry and Mark,

>> I'm trying to find out the
differences between the 440LX, and the 440FX. <<

The 440FX came out for the Pentium Pro and then used for the PENTIUM II.

440FX does not support SDRAM. 440LX supports SDRAM and the new AGP graphics cards. The 440BX will support the PC100 memory and that will allow the PENTIUM II perform as it should.

Larry and Mark,

Also I should have mentioned the 430VX and the 430TX Intel chipsets are only for Pentium classics and MMX chips not PENTIUM IIs. Maybe that is where you were getting mixed up.
