Toms Hardware will give you a good education on chipsets and motherboards also Tweakit.

The PENTIUM II with the FX or LX chipsets are a waste of money over the PENTIUM MMX with a good MOTHERBOARD such as ASUS or ABIT with the 430HX chipset only.

You can use one of these two boards set to 83.3MHZ bus speed and a 166MMX over clocked to 208MHZ and it will run almost as good as a PENTIUM II with the LX chipset and SDRAM.

ONE should wait for the 440BX chipset this summer and then you might be getting your moneys worth.
