Correct me if I'm wrong, if all six drives fail, the question is not why go out and get one more, but rather, why go out and get seven more, no? versus giving up and trying a different brand drive. :-)

I suggest that you write to HG and ask him about that. I think it's a good observation.

And while you're at it, perhaps you could ask why none of the e-mail messages he has received from people whose Jaz drives work just fine are ever mentioned in his column.

Another extremely fishy aspect of HG's comments on Jaz drive failures is that Tom Santos is allegedly reporting that he has "personally" owned seven Jaz drives, all of which has failed.

Since Tom Santos is supposed to be "a San Francisco-based Mac retailer" you would think he would have something to say about the Jaz drives his customers own or have owned.

I think I'll write to Herb myself.
