For anyone - opinions on SEBL and MU yesterday. Both went berserk in the last hour of trading, leaving me deep underwater with short positions.

Was this options expiration trading, a short squeeze or both? Do jumps like this tend to hold or should they retrace Monday?

Really confused here. Thanks.

tcarnes: CIEN: I think CIEN is a good company but with the volatility in the market I believe it is a good hedge. CIEN has has a big run this year and with the share unlock, there are holders nervous about locking in profits. Most individuals would preferto wait until Jan for tax purposes. I have always been bearish on AOL and YHOO from a valuation standpoint. I'm confident neither will ever make enough money to justify their valuations but have been reluctant to short because of bullish market psychology. I believe the psychology is changing and these compnies would be ripe for a fall.
