I want to sincerely apologize for the harsh tone of my last post. I was reacting more to Mr. Evan Balter's original analyst-bashing post (Post 2052) than Mr. Palmberg's complaint about market conditions (2054) -- it was just that Mr. Palmberg chose to reply. Using terms like "whining" is not helpful and I am sorry for doing so.

I just don't think there is any value, or any fairness, in blaming analysts for the poor performance of a stock. If Adobe generates increased earnings, it will go up, regardless of what analysts say. I just lost $1200 in the stock, because I failed to properly understand the volatility of its earnings. If I had done more historical research, I would have realized that uneven earnings are a consistent feature of the stock, and I would have been more patient and bought the stock at one of its periodic dips (like now), rather than closer to one of its highs. My poor judgement was the reason I lost money -- not because Adobe "gets no respect" from analysts.

Railing at those "high paid usually wrong" analysts is like getting mad at the weatherman for poor weather -- neither fair nor fruitful.

Cheers

Chuck Edwards
