Hello Dorthy, Your mention of "Atlas shrugged" and the Rothchilds
takes me back to a book I read called Captains and Kings by Taylor Caldwell. It was also a mini series. If you havn't read it, it's about
young Irish imigrent who makes his fortune in oil and gun running and becomes powerful enough to buy his son the presidency. Sound like Joe Kennedy? Your right. After reading this book and the 2 part run down on Soros which someone posted a couple of weeks ago, they make good book ends for the secret world of high finance.
Wish I could remember who and where the posting on Soros is. If anybody can remember, please post.

Captains and Kings
Published by Buccaneer Books
Publication date: September 1994
ISBN: 1568492588

Cheers,

TD, I submit: bond mkt=10x $$ in equities, not 5x as U suggest. The unabated printing of money + t' Bill and Billyrubin Shuffle Show for the last 6 yrs, tis probably closer to 12-14x t'size of the equities mkt.

But you make a good point...just don't be so conservative, ok?(grin)

What tickles me is this:
Frans Pick is not only accurate in his definition of a bond,
I have yet to figure out why ANY thinking person
would want to own a piece, 1st holder or deriative of ANYONE else's debt!
It wouldn't be a debt if the money wasn't already spent.
So, why hold a piece of money that is a "goner???"

Ahhhh, capitalism...ain't it great?
