Since the multiverse is just a make believe game, you can assume what you want about it. Serial make believe universes. Simultaneous make believe universes. Hey, maybe there's BOTH kinds of make believe multiverses. And maybe they're all exactly the same.

The whole thing is just a thought exercise to get around the fine tuning "problem." There is still a problem with what generates all these universes, of course.
