Re CMLP/CEQP what do you like about this MLP? It seems badly managed and the assets are scattered allover the US. While the merger of the LP with the GP, the real problem is the quality of the assets and their management and the elimination of the IDR via merger with the GP solves neither problem.

I do think you would be better off investing in a higher quality MLP if yield is your concern. I think even a turnaround like OKS is better than CMLP/CEQP.
