Zead, actually, they said that in 1998, if Nomai can get past IOM's patents, at most, 10% of Zip disks will not be made by IOM. There are a few possibilities in that fuzzy wording, not all of them negative. He also mentioned that IOM sells cobranded disks at a steep discount to Sony et al. So I still don't see any problem with IOM licensing the disks to other manufacturers, as demand outstrips their capacity, to those willing to give IOM their rightful royalty. As long as it is done in a controlled manner, so as not to disrupt margins or degrade quality.
