Elroy, Thanks for your clarification re Japan Inc. Sounds like Japan is in a much deeper trouble than their headlines published. What "hard steps" do you specifically refer to ? Do you mean Japan have to increase governmental spending and manually force monetary supply up ?

I thought when they gave free loans to the failed banks, they essentially incraesed money flow in the market place. The tax reduction and new spending plan seems like measures to boost monetary supply too. However, on the negative side, banks are tightening loans to small and medium sized firms.

Do you or anybody know the recent M-2 money supply number in Japan ? This seems a critical indicator for the health of the world economy and stock market.
