<<<<<how many other companies can give one a possible enrnings suprise????

Doc....you would have had to have been here in July to appreciate that comment.

But I do agree with you about upside surprises.....that's one thing my Broker and I have talked about all fall....that and the fact that back in July we were looking for Companies with potential.....who by and large had not participted in the Strong advance in the Market these past few years. She's a darn good broker. That's why as much as I like the Internet, and the ability to trade for next to nothing in cost, I'm still doing it the old fashion way.

About earnings....one thing you have to look for in the comming Q's, I think it's this one ending January 31st, is a big drop in gross earnings Yr to Yr. Last year they had the sale of Intuit Services Corp. (ISC) to Checkfree.....on which the had a capital gain of over $70 Million....which won't repeat. Might throw some....I know it has them thrown on the Yahoo! message board on Intuit....I've been watching their comments.

They don't have a clue by and large as to what is going on between with any of these 3 Issues, INTU/CKFR/XCIT. I'm watching to see when and if they figure it out, and what their reaction is when they do figure it out. Becuase IMO you'll never understand any one Issue....unless you are watching them all.......but I think you know that by now......don't ya doc?

BTW She also agrees with your comments on the Gold Market.
