CEOs during tough times don't usually come out with happy employees because they have to make hard decisions that impact people's lives, but good CEOs do so keeping in mind that it is essential to keep the company operating.

Carly will not be considered based on her HP track record. The Democrats do not have anyone who can touch her in a debate. I've never paid her much attention to her, but I've seen probably 1-2 hours of interviews with her recently and she is damned impressive.

I don't think she'll get a shot at it, but she would be a formidable candidate if she could get enough attention to break out of the lower tier.

But HP was the only place I've ever worked where there was a mandatory, company-wide, 2 week unpaid furlough for Christmas.
Sounds like those were happy times, not......... I went through one or two of those with IBM I think but not weeks at a time.
