Craig, I do not necessarily DISAGREE with you that techs are in bear mode. There sure is a lot of bear shit stinking up the NAZ. I was poking fun at you for saying that with INTC already down better than 30% the bear has begun! We may, in fact, be more than halfway through it.

If, for example, INTC (just using it as a prop for techs) can be expected to decline, say, 60% from its highs during bear phase, well, then 40 may be our target. COMS certainly could be in the 20s.

I will not be a happy camper but it is not the end of the world and I will not be dumping my major holdings except for very slight and surgical tax loss selling just to pare margin and so the IRS knows what a bear market is too!

I forgot to add: go back and read the Barron's roundtable for January of 1988. The bear or correction or panic or whatever you want to call it was ALREADY OVER and yet there is (hate to say it) Jimmy calling for a worldwide bear market that will take the DOW to 1000 and ruin most investors in the world.
