Ray:

Regarding MSFT. It still may be too early but IMO the government has a stronger case than what many believe. As that takes center stage (some time after the 1st of the year) and Windows 98 is pushed out into the summer (not sure now I thought 2nd qtr and have now heard 3rd?) this will start to have a negative perception to stock.

I still think NT5 will continue to gain in revenues and MSFT will meet numbers. Just bad press but with the delay of Win 98 that can take some of the stuffing out of its stock price. I think MSFT's win 98 problems can cause the market to have problems in the February / March timeframe. Its a general and if it hurts the whole sector will hurt (win 98 delays will hurt the sector, who wants to have to load a new OS).

Just some comments. MSFT can do a lot in near future to head off the justice department (but I think they'll fight vs. compromise at this juncture of the dispute).
